{PARTY} Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Are you watching tonight? Let the games begin! I'm so excited. I wish I was throwing a party for my friends to watch the ceremonies tonight. If I was, I'd be sure to wear a flag tshirt, make fish and chips to bring us to London and finish off with a Flag cake for dessert. We'd sip ginger ale and have Olympic trivia.
What are your plans?

{HOLIDAY} 4th of July Bingo

While dinner was getting finished my sisters set up 4th of July Bingo. Each kid got cupcake liner with festive M&Ms for the bingo markers and a bingo card. Easy set up and can played over and over.. unless they eat all their markers :)

(HOLIDAY) 4th of July Relay

I just got back from a family reunion in Heber, Utah. We rented a cabin for a long weekend and the scenery was gorgeous! Our first day at the cabin was the 4th of July. After spending the day in Park City watching my sisters beach volleyball tournament we got to the cabin for a BBQ and my parents set up a relay game that was hilarious. The kids loved it. Three chairs were set up at on end of the cabin porch. We split into 3 teams and lined up at the other end of the porch. On mark, get set, go.. you had to march to the chair put on the headband, necklaces, sunglasses, and grab the American flag. Then march back to your group and back to the chair while waving the flag, then the next team member went. Most hilarious was adults marching it out.
A simple relay but could be used for parties or any holiday, really.

{BIRTHDAY} Guest Post by Jane: Maggie's Hip POP Hooray 26th Birthday

My twin sister has guest posted before and I love the party she recently threw for one of our best friends, Maggie.

For Maggie's 26th birthday the idea came pretty easy to throw her a backyard summer party with her favorite treat: popcorn.
There were 5 kinds of popcorn: olive oil + sea salt, caramel, marshmallow + chocolate, reese's pieces+white chocolate, and kettle corn. Brown paper bags were used to hold the large amounts of popcorn. Made for easy clean up too.
A few friends helped with cookies, rice krispy treats, and drinks.
Summer nights in a backyard make the perfect setting.

{PARTY} Dinner for Dads

My sister's sister in law Aleisha always does an incredible job hosting parties. She had us over for Father's Day and had an tasty meal of ribs, baked beans, corn on the cob and root beer floats for dessert. I didn't do a thing for the celebration besides bring watermelon wedges, but I had to take some pictures to share.
